I'm James Florentino. I build software and games.
Most of my work has been in backend and systems — the infrastructure stuff that usually only gets noticed when it breaks.
In 2013, I co-founded BuyBitcoin.ph, a digital payments company in the Philippines.
These days I'm working on Warpgate Ventures, building games with a focus on systems and long-term development.
Our main project right now is Chain Crisis, a cyberpunk action RPG. It's a long-term project — I'm taking my time with it.
I write about systems and building on the Principles and Thinking pages.
